About Project
Torch Directors played a seminal role in conceiving, piloting and scaling Go! London - a joint collaborative fund involving the Mayor of London, Sport England, and the London Marathon Charitable Trust. The fund set out to shift how investment in community sport for young Londoners is designed, governed, and delivered - with the partnership seeking to intervene at a system level to reshape relationships, decision-making and accountability across funders, policymakers, delivery partners, and community organisations. Associate Sian Penner was commissioned to facilitate and design the underpinning strategic partnership process that enabled disciplined collaboration across organisational boundaries.

About Project (Cont.)
The process Sian designed enabled partners to move beyond organisation-specific perspectives towards a shared diagnosis of system-level barriers and enablers - in turn leading to tangible system change: new governance arrangements, clearer collective decision-making structures, agreed principles for investment, and a rebalanced relationship between strategic funders and community organisations. The partnership unlocked £18 million of aligned investment and Sian continues to facilitate annual performance review and strategy workshops as the system evolves.
