Solomon brings senior experience across sport, public policy, global partnerships, institutional development and socio-economic impact, with a career focused on turning complex ambitions into practical, high-value delivery. Before founding Torch Sports, Solomon served as Head of Strategy and Partnerships for the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan. During seven years at City Hall, he wrote and led London’s sport strategy, helping establish the city as a global leader in sport through major partnerships with organisations including the NBA and NFL, and significant investment into community sport and participation. Based in the UAE, Solomon serves as Special Advisor to NYU Abu Dhabi, leading work on global partnerships, commercial governance and revenue diversification. He has advised multiple charities and nonprofits, stood as a UK Parliamentary candidate in the 2015 and 2017 general elections, and led the campaigns for the Diana Award during the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. In 2023, he was awarded the King’s Coronation Medal for his work supporting the delivery of HM King Charles III’s coronation.
